Aluminum Materials
Aluminum is roughly one-third the density of steel while still conducting heat and electricity well, so aluminum metal stamping shows up wherever weight, thermal management or a corrosion-resistant exterior matters - heat sinks, battery busbar supports, brackets, housings and clips for electronics and EV programs. Soft, dead-soft grades such as A1050 and A1060 press into deep thermal parts; A5052 adds magnesium for bendability and strength; A6061 handles structural duty; high-strength 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum is reserved for minimal-form blanks, shims and bracket plates where yield strength matters more than deep drawing.
ISTAMPING forms aluminum alloys from 0.1 to 3.0 mm on presses from 25 to 110 tons with ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy. Because the protective oxide layer reforms naturally after forming, our progressive dies use hardened, polished tooling to avoid galling and aluminum pickup, keeping feature edges clean and flatness within ≤0.03 mm. Deeper draws and bent brackets are produced in the same die line as the rest of the assembly, with deburring, ultrasonic cleaning and laser marking done in-house before shipping.
