High-Volume Solar Stamping for Inverters and Storage
Solar inverters and battery energy storage systems demand stamped parts that carry high current without excessive heat rise, survive salt spray, humidity, and temperature cycling, and hold dimensional accuracy across high-volume production. We produce busbars, mounting brackets, terminals, and heatsink-related stampings from 0.05-3.0 mm copper, brass, and plated steel, with reel-to-reel selective plating for corrosion protection exactly where it matters. IATF 16949:2016 quality management, ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy, and CMM plus in-line vision inspection ensure low contact resistance, consistent fit, and long-term reliability for 20+ year outdoor service lives.
- High-speed Aida presses up to 300 SPM stamp busbars, brackets, and terminals in copper, brass, and plated steel at volumes that keep pace with inverter and storage program ramp-ups
- Reel-to-reel selective plating applies tin, silver, or nickel only on contact zones, minimizing galvanic corrosion and holding cost per part down
- ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy with in-house progressive dies maintains terminal pitch and flatness tolerances critical for low contact resistance and reliable mating
- IATF 16949:2016 certified process with CMM and in-line vision inspection delivers fully traceable parts qualified for outdoor, salt-air, and high-humidity installations
Outdoor Corrosion: Plating Systems for Decades of Service Life
Solar and storage stampings get one chance at the corrosion spec. An inverter busbar is C11000 copper or A1050 aluminum with tin plating in the 5-12 micron band - thin enough to stay cost-effective, thick enough that a nick at the bend line does not reach base metal within a decade. For coastal and high-humidity sites the specification steps up: silver plate for the lowest contact resistance, or a nickel underplate that stops copper migration through the finish. Galvanic pairing is the silent failure: an aluminum bracket bolted to a steel racking rail corrodes at the joint unless isolated, so we design the finish, washer stack and coating system as one drawing instead of three line items. Salt-spray verification to ASTM B117 / ISO 9227 test classes is reported per lot, and every coil traces to its mill certificate.
- C11000 copper and A1050 aluminum busbars, tin 5-12 micron
- Nickel underplate and silver options for coastal exposure classes
- Galvanic isolation designed into the bracket and fastener stack
- ASTM B117 / ISO 9227 salt-spray reporting per production lot
