Cold-Rolled Steel Materials
Cold-rolled steel SPCC is the commodity tier of stamped metal: consistent thickness, uniform surface, predictable forming behavior and the lowest cost per part of any material we run. It is the default for brackets, chassis parts, shields, motor laminations and enclosures where the service environment is dry or protected, and where every tenth of a cent per part shows up in the program economics. The trade-off is corrosion - cold-rolled steel has no sacrificial coating of its own, so any exposed part either gets a finish after stamping or steps up to SECC/SGCC galvanized strip.
ISTAMPING stamps SPCC, SPHC and equivalent cold-rolled grades from 0.05 to 3.0 mm on 25-110 ton presses at ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy and up to 300 SPM, with flatness held to ≤0.03 mm on bracket and lamination work. For high-volume programs we design progressive dies around coil-set discipline and in-die feed sensing, and blanking or forming operations that need to stay burr-controlled for assembly and coating adhesion. Finishing - zinc, nickel or paint - is managed through approved partner lines, while deburring, ultrasonic cleaning and laser marking are done in-house.
