Insert Molded Components with Precision Metal Stampings

Insert molding combines precision metal stampings with molded plastics to create complete components that integrate connection, insulation and structural function in one part. ISTAMPING's multi-material insert/overmolding assemblies serve automotive, EV and appliance customers, reducing downstream assembly cost.

  • Metal stamping and injection molding under one roof
  • Eliminates downstream assembly - complete parts ship ready to install
  • Multi-material options for automotive, EV and appliance programs
  • Reduced total cost through integrated production

Metal-to-Plastic Bonding That Holds

Insert molding only performs as well as the metal it starts with. We control every variable that determines bond integrity: reel-to-reel selective plating keeps adhesion layers precisely where resin will flow, while ±0.005 mm positioning accuracy and in-house progressive dies hold insert geometry stable shot after shot. Because stampings run on Aida high-speed presses under IATF 16949:2016 process control, dimensional consistency survives the thermal cycling of molding and end-use — so plated interfaces resist peeling, inserts stay anchored under vibration and heat, and assemblies hold up across thousands of cycles.

  • Reel-to-reel selective plating puts adhesion finishes exactly where resin will flow, maximizing pull-out strength without plating waste
  • ±0.005 mm insert positioning held by precision progressive dies, verified by CMM and in-line vision before molding
  • Burr-controlled edges let 0.05-3.0 mm stamped inserts seat cleanly and stay fixed in mold cavities across high-speed runs
  • IATF 16949:2016 process control keeps plating thickness and dimensional stability consistent from first article to full production
