Galvanized Steel Materials
Galvanized steel pairs the strength and low cost of carbon steel with a sacrificial zinc coating, making galvanized steel stamping the workhorse for brackets, structural parts, electrical enclosures and shield components that need corrosion protection without the price of stainless. Electro-galvanized SECC offers a thin, smooth, weld-friendly zinc layer for formed and painted parts, while hot-dip SGCC carries a thicker coating for longer service life in harsher environments; bare SPCC cold-rolled fills the budget tier ahead of plating or painting.
ISTAMPING stamps SECC, SGCC and SPCC from 0.1 to 3.0 mm on presses up to 110 tons with ±0.005 mm accuracy and flatness held to ≤0.03 mm. Progressive dies run galvanized strip at up to 300 SPM with in-die feed sensing to catch mis-feeds before they scrap a coil. Because forming can scuff the zinc at sharp bends, we specify radii and die coatings that protect coverage at edges, then verify with salt-spray testing; additional zinc or nickel plating is managed through approved partner lines when a spec asks for extra protection.
